Rachel and Hannah - in memory of Sarah

We need to learn to carry on.....

Last September our lives changed forever with the sudden passing of my sister Sarah aged 53. That day I broke my parent’s heart with the news Sarah had passed, 6 months on and it still doesn't feel real.

Sarah left behind 3 children Hannah, and young siblings (15 &12). It was my 12 yr old nephew who found my sister gone that Sunday morning

We are a close family, live near each other, and speak to one another everyday.

On May 4th,  Hannah and I are taking on an Ultra Challenge' by attempting to walk across the Isle of Wight in memory of Sarah whilst trying to raise some much urgent funding for Blood Pressure UK. Sarah suffered the last few years with her high blood pressure and was under constant review with her GP.

Hannah and I are training as much as we can, we've been embracing all weather and have been averaging 20,000 steps a day for the previous 3 months. We're hoping the weather will be kind to us on the day - fingers crossed

Losing Sarah so suddenly was devastating and we don't wish that heartache to happen to others.

We would like to thank Blood Pressure UK for supporting us in taking on this challenge.

Sarah and Oscar - in memory of Mum/Nana

On Sunday 24th March, Oscar and Sarah ran in memory of their wonderful and amazing Mum/Nana, who they sadly lost in Spring 2023.

Sarah ran the Weston-Super-Mare Half Marathon and with the support of his Daddy, Oscar completed the Moki Mile race, held during the same event.

The event took place on the weekend of the first anniversary of Mum/Nana’s death and Weston-Super-Mare happened also to be a town that holds happy memories for them as a family.

Although they ran the event to honour Mum/Nana, they also raised an amazing £649 for Blood Pressure UK.
